Introduction

'vVoosh is a London based social-lifestyle startup, helping to bring users interests to life.'

HYPOTHESIS

By speaking to users and analysing platform data, we concluded that esoteric, product focused language (unfamiliar to new users) combined with a task based on-boarding process were responsible for a high churn rate and low product engagement.

ACTION TAKEN

I conducted UX workshops with C-level execs, team members and Vvoosh users to better understand how language is perceived during on-boarding, and how it can be improved to design consistent user journeys and experiences that drive meaningful engagement.

OUTPUTs

  1. Testing a ‘communication toolkit’ card system that gives users more opportunities to express themselves on the platform.

  2. Testing cards with contextualised action buttons; rather than ‘trying’ all experiences on the platform, users could now Follow, Plan, Visit and Join the plethora of hobbies, events and interests available.
