UX and Design Lead
I was part of the core team that launched TRUE Africa – a new media-tech platform with all of the next generation thinking on culture, music, sports, lifestyle, politics, fashion and tech in Africa and the diaspora. I was responsible for leading the UX, design and brand identity and was heavily involved in the digital strategy for the first release of the successfully launched product in September 2015.
Youth culture plays a huge part in True Africa's communication and brand strategy as they target young, ambitious Africans in Africa and the Diaspora.
With a 'digital-first' design approach, the logo I designed for TA was bold and clean – it will sit proudly and prominently across all devices, and effortlessly lockup next to the 'Future now. Non-stop' strapline, and on top of hard-edged, youth-focused reportage photography.
